It is interesting reading this.  Many people who have had extraordinary careers have said that at a key moment in their journey they took on a task that they were not prepared for.  They faked it until they made it.  I know they are in the minority of how those situations usually end up.

Everyone can be a leader.  I know that there groups, clubs, and organization the students can join that will expand there leadership roles, however I think it would be great for a class to be mandatory to help foster their ability to lead. 

It is interesting seeing all of the steps in writing for problem solving.  Going through the process looks different for everyone.  Being able to walk students through the process will make them better decision makers in the future

I think that students read a lot of non-verbal cues that we do not realize.  Being mindful of what my face looks like when speaking to students is something I really need to work on.  I have been told that my face looks unhappy a lot.  

Practicing your presentations sounds silly but is a great way to feel more confident about the information you are giving.

Stress is good for everyone but how you manage it is up to you.  Boiling water can harden an egg, but soften a potato.

I think that having a certain level of stress in your life is very healthy.  In my opinion being stressed means that you are pushing yourself to be better at something.  Stress turns coal into diamonds.  Learning how to manage stress is a skill as well.  I can be on the lookout for people who maybe under too much stress.  Boiling water can harden an egg, but soften a potato.  

Being a leader is an awesome position to be in.  You can influence others around you.  As teachers it is important to show our students what good practices are.  As CTE teachers we can show what being a good employee looks like.  

I have absolutely been in stressful work environments.  I think stress is positive a lot of the time.  Stress means that you are getting better and learning new skills and abilities.  I can be on the lookout for others who may be experiencing a unhealthy level of stress. 

This section explains that managers and leaders in an environment have a great deal of influence on their peers and subordinates.  As teachers we must set a good example for the students in the room.  We want to be able to show them what good practices are.
