It is important to utilize lab simulations that reflect course objectives as well as develop real life skills. Developing Re-usable Learning Objectives does not have to be a daunting task and could be accomplished through the use of an online resource site, such as MERLOT or through student assignments.

I usually set small weekly deadlines to keep students on task. I am going to incorporate using peer to peer groups for students to work on assignments, providing ample time for them to give each other feedback prior to turning in their assignments. I am going to work on a bonus or extra credit for providing constructive feedback.

I like the use of videos for labs. In addition, providing bonus points for early work submission is a good idea. The use of games or contests seems fun and engaging.
