Develop a rubrics to instruct students how they will be graded and what the instructor is looking for

Three technics must be applied to an overall learning in a classroom setting; Kinesthetic, Aural and Visual

Patients is a must. Breakdown the material or assignment to the lowest possible skills. Different students come from a different background and education. Some are not as prepared as we expect them to be.

It is critical to determine the type of instructor you are and recognize that your method may not be the best when applied to all students.  Different students comprehend differently, and you will have to modify or blend different teaching strategies to be most successful

How do you handle an adult student that is distracted and often carrying a conversation on the phone through texting.

Or watching a video on the phone and giggling to himself.  

He has been reminded numerous times that the phone is not allowed during class, but refuses to adhere to the rules.

Treat each student with respect and acknowledge their concerns with a sincere desire to help them learn the material presented. Never address a problem student in front of the class in the form that might embarrass the student. Always discuss any issues privately with that student to avoid any confrontations and bring him/her around to a desire to learn.

I agree with having confidence on the subject and presenting it in a professional manner.

I find preparation for lecture and presenting it in a simplified manner maintains students' alertness and comprehension

The material must be delivered in a professional manner and with full respect to the students.
