In my opinion, the four steps mentioned in this model are maintained and gradually play a vital role in the classroom. These goals are growing steps in any instructors career. I have been in education for 12 years and these are all qualities that have grown and been instilled in me over my experience in the classroom. Does anyone else feel these qualities are attributes that help you grow in education and in the classroom?

Recruiting and admission to the college are what keeps the college running on a day to day basis. It is essential to work together as a team to ensure that admissions and academics work together to ensure this process is compelte. One idea we use for recruitment is that admission versus academics have a bet on who can get the most enrollments for a quarter. The winning team gets a pizza party. Because of this, it opens many new leads for new enrollments for the college and helps with meeting goals in admissions.

Guidelines for regulatory compliance differs from state to state. Federal guidelines reguire states to have authorization to operate. I feel this requirement is valid based on educational institutions preparing students to become successful in the workplace. Without these guidelines, any person could obtain an education without being assessed to see if the student fits for the job and has the necessary skills to put forth for the area of degree they are trying to obtain through the school.

I do find it very important for faculty to remember student names as quick as possible so the student feel important. A great way to incoporate names into a class discussion is on day one with an icebreaker assignment.

I have found that walking around the classroom during test, quizzes,a and lectures will prevent some of the wondering eyes. I have also found that when placing students in groups you can automatically tell which students are weak and strong in the subject matter, which helps in the event you have to assign seats during test and exams.
