I've learned that it can be very costly if everything is not done within the timeframe that it needs to be done so that it won't cost the school so much money.  

The importance of knowing the difference when it comes to the application process is very important.   Also, You must be able to pay attention to every little thing.  The fee sheet is very important and knowing pay-wise what you are responsible for. 

I have learned that the roles we play are significant and knowing how to proceed with every action you place in this department is extremely important.    The number one takeaway I understand is that compliance is essential, ensuring everything is accounted for is what is important, and ensuring we are serving our students no matter what.
