Ed 105 Extra Credit

I found it very interesting reading about extra credit. I'm interested in hearing what everyone thinks about extra credit. Do you give it in your classroom? Why or why not?

I personally don't give extra credit. I think some students look at it as a way to skip other assignments.

Time management skills

We all suffer through time management. There is NEVER enough time in the day to do everything. This course has helped me a lot in prioritizing my tasks and making a to do list. I found out I tend to get distracted a lot.

Pace of work

My biggest factor is not managing my time, but the pace at which I work. I'm so meticulous about my work (OCD) that I tend to go back over the work I've done. This causes me to take up time from another area. It can get frustrating. Any help on how I can deal with this?

What I do when I'm stressed

When I am stressed, I try to analyze my stress factor, strategize what to do and work on the cause and effect of the stress factor.. As a high school teacher, this has improved my dad to dad stress immensely!

Very informative topics on how to manage adult classes. It also helped to show what kind of teacher I am. I realize I play more of a "buddy" role and this will help me try and become more of a "guide" instructor

ED 109 What a great course but lengthy

Ed 109 is a great course but a lot for one sitting! I recommend taking 1 lesson a day. I tried 2 in one day and realized trying to retain all the info was almost impossible

ED 101

I did not want to take this course. In fact, I was angry at the college for making me take this. I now resent all that hatred!! This course was fantastic. It helped me out so much in planning and I plan to implement this training next semester. I look forward to taking ED 102
