I had students come to me after I had only been teaching for two quarters, who were very upset when they learned that their credits did not transfer to other colleges. They said they had been told by the admissions office when they enrolled that their credits would transfer. At first I was not sure what to tell them. I advised them to go talk to the admissions office to have this matter clarified. I did not attempt to handle this matter with these students as this was out of my scope of training. Thank you.

I have found that if you make contact with those students who will not stop talking amongst themselves, again and again, they finally get the point and do not want that attention.

What are some good ways to answer students when you are not sure of the question?
