While working for a very small, private college, we have a lot of prospective students with different disabilities, may with austism spectrum disorders.   Although the small, intimate campus environment is beneficial and supportive for highl;y functioning students with disabilites, I have to always let parents know that this is not a school specifically for students with special; needs.  We are ADA compliant and have accomodations and policies in place but some students ned mroe than we can offer and I have to be very careful about how I approach this topic with parents.

We are an open enrollment school, however students sometimes lose urgency to complete their paperwork and get started since they are aware we cannot turn them away. Any thoughts on how to create urgency with new students?
