I learned a great deal in this course, particularly about the overuse of some "rewards" which some of the administration in my institution push us to provide a lot. I never knew why I thought that some of those might not be motivators, and I now understand it well enough to be able to suggest other ways of using extrinsic motivators to learning. Or at least to suggest we not give away so many "pins" to wear on lapels as we'll start to wear out the motivating factor of them!
