I agree, I have to have a lesson plan or a lease a version of one in my calendar for all of my classes. This helps me be organize and to offer my best for my students. I can look back over my calendar and see what I had schedule and can build off it and grow.

I totally agree with your statement, I believe students have different learning styles and being able to change your course to fit their needs is important. Every studnet is different so your approach needs to change as well.

when I brought in material for the wrong class, I had to wing it but it was fun! I learned not to stress because that can be seen by our students.

You must always make time to find out about your students and work with them to achieve their goal. But always remembering to not turn into a buddy but stay a guide.

I have found that ice breakers can really set the day for your class. They help get everyone engaged and out of their rutt. I work with order students in business so teh mashmallow challenge, business card challenge all work well. We even do "Today in crazy news" all to get them engaged and interested in the class.

What I do is I break the students into groups, and I then spend extra time with my students that may be taking a little longer then most. This works well and I also hand out guides with their work so that they have access to notes at home as well.

My students love this idea, I got it from a play on Monopoly board game. Simply put when the students have a missing assignment, they can use a "Get out of jail Card" to replace said assignment. They only get one for the entire class.

It was nice and had some great info and tips.

This is so true and has some very good points. I know that my leadership team partners with it's faculty on everything. Being a adjunct instructor it makes me feel good that they value my opinion.
