There have been many times in my career in the healthcare industry in several different capacities; as a student,practitioner, an employer and now as a teacher, I have had conflicting ideas regarding the realistic expectations and application of the ADA in each of these contexts. The entire program was informative and the final exam really let me know how much information I had gained! The final session with the interviews of Ms. Betty Demers was helpful in refocusing the reasons we do what we do and that is to teach and assist others to learn, grow and be successful. I was particularly pleased to see Ms. Demer’s interviews as she is the person who initially hired me to teach at Miller-Motte College in Wilmington, NC ten years ago!
