About me

Activity

What I took away is create a positive and supportive atmosphere in your school and keep a pulse on day to day operations and activities. Even when there is not a request or issue, students, like all of us, still need to feel special. It is easy to focus on the complainers and ignore our customers from whom we seldom hear.

Unhappy students may file a claim with school management. They may also file written protests with state agencies, the state attorney general, the accreditors or even the Department of Education. And students as individuals, or in groups, have every right to hire attorneys and initiate lawsuits.

A good rule to follow is this: If it does not sound right, it probably isn’t. Conservative is the best approach in communicating information that is complete, accurate, concise and fully transparent.

The information is specific and, given accurate, is a clear and documentable representation and/or disclosure.

Allow plenty of opportunities for the student to ask questions, particularly if considering enrollment

The components of the Triad – the US Department of Education, the institutional and programmatic accreditors, and the state regulatory boards and agencies – together help ensure quality outcomes. Let’s look at an example from a vocational school perspective as to how it all works.

Compliance is very important because it’s part of the blueprint of the organization

Its a great reminder that its so important in doing the right thing not only for yourself but for the benefit of helping others

It is all of our responsibility to present information accurately, clearly and fully regarding our institutions

The Affirmative Statements (acceptable) and Superlative Statements (unacceptable) chart is so helpful in determine what statements are acceptable to use when dealing with comment from prospective students
