Communication  is key , but also the way you communicate online is important.

There are new and old to online learning. Technology has changed  and some student might not be up to date with the changes.

A feeling of community and belonging helps a student feel supported in achieving their goals.

 Encouraging students thru tools we have in online courses help student to their goals.

Again communication, What tools can be used to help each student be successful . 

Communicate clearly between instructor and student about expectations and goals.

Instructor need to prepare and work just as the student for the student to be successful.

Online Instructors need to work just as hard as a student to keep them motivated and successful

Posting how long an assignment may take, may help a student with time management issues.

Be an active instructor even when student is an e-learner.
