One of the technique that I like the most is the classroom/lab set up and how it could really affect the students learn. Its a basic concept to apply in classroom that I never though about it. The presentation and Pygmalion with the student there are another point to consider in my future classes.

Presnting course materials

Excellent online course, I’m glad of doing this type of improvement courses. Now I’ll certainly feel more confident as a new instructor when I am delivering the material in the classroom.

I think that’s one thing I like the most, been at front of the class ( at state ) and wear a different hat. An hat that care, teach, listen, sales, and express passion for a subject.
Even though, I do not have enough experience in the field as Instructor, I love what I am doing and I appreciate the opportunity that has been given to me to share my experience with others.

Inappropriate vocabulary with challenging students

In my first week ever as a teacher, I noticed that some students in order to make the point across the room they used inappropriate vocabulary even after I pointed out in the beginning of the class. So, I lead by example!!! By the second week the incident continue and I stop the class and gave them my own experience of life. They took it so personal that I did not hear any other unprofessional language.

Completion of ED106

@ Letisha: I was a International student once, ESL class was easy for me when I grouped myself with the same language speaker but I really learned when I decided to push myself and deal only with different speakers. My advise to you is, Create some group activities where your student share ideas (oral or written) but not the same speaker language in the group. It will be fun for them and for you as well.
