I feel it is critical in any piece of writing to know who your reader is, and a resume is no different. Also, organization is key in resumes, which will help the prospective employer determine if someone is a good fit for the job. 

I really enjoyed the modern resume techniques. I teach a writing class and feel I can have students practice some of these techniques in that class, especially in terms of keeping the employer in mind when adding information into the resume.
