Choosing a lecture style that best suits the students is more important that choosing a lecture style that I am most comfortable with. 

Finding ways to keep the learning both interactive and engaging for the students will help to break up the monotony of lecture as well as to encourage the students to participate and also get to know each other. 

Preparing lesson plans and getting to class early will be important for success. 

Being a model to the students is very important and will help to set the tone not only for my first course and first set of students but all courses and cohorts to follow.
