I perfer bigger classes, small classes can be doring and time will move very slowly. I had a class with 3-4 students and I didn't like it. Class was boring, on the other hand, when there is one teacher and thirty students, that is also bad.

Motivating students is a challenge. It has to do with the instructor, the subject matter, the environment and the student. The student should be motivated within or iternally and externally. I think adult learners are more motivated than child learners. I teach adult learners, I try to connect everything to their career field that they are entering.

@ellythomas :  Dealing with students who are easily distracted is tough. It takes patient and dedication. I deal with them all the time. Adult learners can be eaily distracted too.
