Dividing lesson plans

Writing lesson plans used to be a much larger chore until I realized I can have a lesson plan and refer the technical details to a best practices manual. That way, I can make my lesson plans and have the course layed out and work on my Best Practices Manual one lesson at a time as I go along.

Greetings all,

I've been researching lesson planning software, templates and web portals for a while now and have yet to hit upon a satisfactory solution. Anyone have a favorite they would like to share and why?

Greetings Duane,

I found myself in a position similar to yours. Just thought I'd add something you probably already know.

I spent several years trying to use my skills as a watchmaker to execute my new role as an instructor. I spent way more energy than necessary because I was slow to realize that instructing is a profession separate from watchmaking and requires development of a different set of skills. It takes years of practice to develop skills so I found for me that the five year mark was the watershed period of time I needed to become adequate at… >>>
