After dealing with Distance Learning haven't we felt more stress than normal.  I don't know about anyone else, but I am very happy to come across this training.  It was very enlightening to find out how to deal with the burnout from the workplace.  I know even before COVID I was beginning to feel some of this burnout. Mid year does anyone generally feel this way?  I am looking forward to trying one of the 21-day activities.  How does everyone else feel about the activities?  Are your going to try it, what about the breathing exercise? Have you done it… >>>

Through this PD I learned how to recognize burnout and I am going to do one of the 21 day activities. I had already read about the breathing techniques during COVID and I do find that they do help to relax and focus.

In order to get students to "buy in" to online leraning during COVID has been a challenge.  I have learned that one needs to  make sure that the students understand that I the teacher am here for them.  I   realize it is different but together we can make the learning a fun and grear exprience. Keep a  discussion board for the students to discuss the assignments and collaborate with one another and chime in when necessary.

I have always been a believer that students are in control of their educations.  This has reaffirmed my belief. However,  through online learning, the students may need some additional assistance to get started.  As an educator, I need to remember that it is not only a learning process for me it is for them as well. I need to make sure the syllabus is clear and concise so the student understands what is expected of them. I must stress the importance of time management.
