Intrcution in the Classroom: Listening Skills

A skill that is often not focused on enough in the classroom is teachin listening skills. Active listening actually involves the brain. When one actively listens they taked in the informaiton and mentally digest. In doing so we are not formulating a quick response but rather we are processing the information to gain understianding and then provide feedback. Importance of following up with absent students

Retention is an intergral part of working for the For Profit organizational sector of Higher Edcuation. You will not save every student but yes, if one is saved then all of the effort is well worth it. Some strategies I have found benficial is to make sure to set standards on day 1. If students fully understand the expectations then they are likely to abide by them.
