I can not completly agree with the asumption that student loans are getting out of hand. I can agree things were different 25 years ago. Schools have raised tuition exponentially over that time period, but total household income has increased as well. The cause and effect is that fewer students are qualifying for Federal Grants and have had to take out more loans to cover the cost of their education.
