Activity
students have different learning capabilities, so as a teacher you should learn all the types of learning to engage with your students.
set a tone for your classroom. Also, don't let it be all information about the class only. Introduce yourself and have ice breakers for the whole class to get to know one another. It helps relax the classroom setting so the students don't have to feel anxious. Remember their names !!
Checklist is KEY!! I love my checklist, notes, organization, etc., anything to help prepare myself for the first class. And arriving early to show a presence for my students.
One thing that stood out to me was "Don't try to be smarter than your students because one of your students could be smarter." Just because your instructor doesn't allow to know it all. And also lead by example.
