To me it appears FERPA and HIPPA are cut from the same cloth

Although a lot of the FERPA information is confusing, we faculty members have to regularly review this information to ensure compliance and max knowledge

I learned information is very important to the privacy of others and I will check the validity of information requests. 

Cases of Sexual assault should be taken seriously and records of these reports must be documented and handled correctly as in compliance with title IX. 

Title IX has to open up a school investigation but does not need a police report although it should be heavily encouraged. Reports also have to be filed if the event was off campus

The idea is to have transparency amongst the student body, to keep records and increase safety in a particular area. Lastly it helps to check how safety measures are put into place. 

Title IX was enacted to protect specific classes like Gender Identity of students, faculty and staff. It ensures protection of these classes and more for every environment across the country. I hope to help by being someone to talk to if there was every a violation against title IX
