I like using some well writen true and false questions depending on the subject material, along with a good mixture of multiple choice and a few matching questions choosing to use very few fill in the blank questions due to the risk of multiple right answers.

I make a point to ask my students one on one questions as I'm checking their lab projects, reviewing what knowledge and skills have been used to successfully complete the lab assignment. This has truly helped me gauge the true level of understanding that the student has concerning what we are working on. This module was very helpful in helping me to think about different ways to engauge my students through using more questions during our lecture class times to better help them truly grasp the material that is being presented.

The term Net Generation is new to me, but I plan on adding some Webquest assignments in my courses. I found that idea very intriguing.

Planning more opening activities to help my students engage at the beginning of class, and using more guilded discussions during the class are two that I'm going to focus on, but so many good ideas to think about to help improve my instruction and my students learning.

I am excited about the possiblities using the technology we have available, but it can be somewhat overwelling at times. I do see the benefits to our students when properly used.

Some really good information in this class, I hadn't heard of the Pygmalion Effect before but I can truly see how we as instructors can help or limit our students we must be careful to not allow first impressions to set our exspectations for our students.

Comment on Michael Taylor's post: A good foundation is what a student will be building on for the rest of their lives, so I feel no matter the subject or skill they need a good foundation.

Interesting, I have not allowed music in my Construction Lab classes but it may actually help my students learn wow.

Being positive and encouraging with our student can really help them succeed.

I do have a difficult time remembering my students names and didn't really think much about it. I now realize that learning their names is very important to establish a good relationship with my students.
