About me

For seven years I worked for the Orange County Library System as a Technology Trainer. I taught computer software classes to both kids and adults. Those classes included Microsoft Applications, Adobe Photoshop, Cyber Security, and coding and Wed Design. After leaving the library in May of 2024, I was hired as a remote contractor with Qkids where I taught English to non-native speakers. In addition, I worked as Administrative Receptionists at Allied Universal Event Services.

Activity

I learned that newspapers and business articles are a great way to stay updated on the company's policy and procedures. I plan to gather all the necessary documents that I need for my Resource Notebook and highlight key talking points.

I learned that finding out about the different ways our school markets information can be a useful tool in learning more about our school and sharing that information with potential students.

I learned that once the student has been interviewed there is a file created for that student. That file will include all the necessary paperwork and will also need to be sent to our supervisor for proper storage. However, some paperwork included in that file might be handled by different departments. :-)

I'm starting to understand the link between Admissions Representative calling leads and the purpose of the resource notebook. I can see how beneficial the resource notebook can be during calls. It's a great way to have all available resources at your fingertips. What stood out the most, was the mention of the organizational chart. I have been keeping record of the titles and roles of everyone I've had meetings with. :-)
