It was good to learn various techniques for dealing with challenging students. 

The way you start the class is of the utmost importance.  It allows for students to understand the expectations placed upon them, which in many instances differ from what they dealt with in high school. 

Career readiness is important for allowing students to get into various job opportunities with a high level of success. 

The classroom environment is important to creating student success.

Mentoring is important to the overall success and retention of students.  Having a mentor allows the student to be able have someone they can ask questions to, while also providing a point of accountability. 

It is important to make sure that the student understands the program they are enrolling in, and that it fits the goals that they want to achieve.
