About me
I was born in 1958, the Barbie doll was born in 1959. So for a year, I had nothing to do. I've been trying to make up for lost time ever since. I started learning about clothing from my mother and stepmother, eventually earning a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design at Philadelphia University. I have dressed movie stars, political figures, and worked for several theaters. Some of my favorite work has been restoring, and reproducing, heirloom garments as well as reinterpreting styles from bygone eras. I have my own business designing and creating what I call costumes for life... suits, evening gowns, and casual wear. I teach Fashion Design at a local college, trying to pass on my passion for the subject to the next generation.
