This lesson gave me a clear definition of synchrnous and asynchronous chats.

My key take away from this lesson is that the navigation of an online course must be simple otherwise the students will become frustrated, thus affecting their performance in the course.

My main take away is that professional development can be an informal process via observation.

I learned that online student do desire the presence of the instructor. Online doesn't equate "on your own". Make students feel a part of the community by sending them personal messages as appropriate.

I learned that professional development can assist in obtaining knowledge to manage workload.

I learned its important to know the online tecnical supports for both students and instructors.

From this Module my key take away is to help students connect with how course content will assist them in meeting their personal goals.

I learned that using social networking sites can be used to develop student engagement and communication. This is my most important take away.
