I actually learned alot about communicating online. I thought I already know alot about it being that i manage a business. But reading through this section I can see alot I have alot to work on. I also like the idea of using a positive connotation. I remember being in school and getting bad grades and already feeling bad. Its best to trying and not make it worse. 

learned that technology places a very important role in an online course. Which i already knew, but its interesting to see how much. 

learned that there is more than just in-person classes and online. learned about web-facilitated courses as well as hybrid courses. I like the idea of a hybrid course having a mix of both.

Learning about the importance of retention and working alliances. 

getting students to use critical thinking will not only benefit their leaning, but will help them succeed in the "real world."

I really like the idea of the rubric! 

I learned that you should have a backup plan in place and ready if you need it. 

I like the idea of active learning so that students can learn themselves instead of being bored sitting and listening to me talk for hours. 

Learning about the different captioning software available to me is helpful. 

learning about the different tools is helpful not only to understand what tools a student may use, but to recommend to students that may need those very tools. I also like the idea of making different accommodations.
