Being prepared and organized
Being prepared and organized is an inherent part of teaching in order to be a role model to students. Other than having lessons plans prepared, handouts for the students, teaching according to the curriculum, and preparing the students to be successful for their chosen careers, how else can I be prepared?
You can be prepared by continuing to be knowledgable in your subject matter, so that you can be prepared for student questions and give great answers/examples!
Being prepared is an ultimate challenge , especially if it is a curriculum that hasn't been taught before , preparing notes and hand outs usually gets things started and heading in the right direction .
I agree being prepared makes the the class flow better and course better for both teacher and student.
I agree. Being prepared for class is very important. If we aren't prepared as instructors how can we expect our students to come to class prepared. We are their role models they watch every move we make, even when you think they aren't.
Hi Geri:
The problem with consistent disorganization from an instructor is the potential loss of credibility with the students, and the message it may send, which is “I’m not concerned enough about your learning to be organized for youâ€.

Hi Natasha:
Anything less might create a loss of credibility for the instructor, which may impact how well the student learns.
