understanding your personality
Understanding your personality is important. It is also important to be able to adjust in situations were personalities may clash.
Luciana,
Great suggetstion. If we know our strengths, we should be able to modify the tenor of the classroom environment as needed. Sometimes, students will have persistent questions, be unclear about information, or feel bothered by some situation regarding class. In each situation, our ability to modify and control the setting is vitral, and having the instructional maturity to take charge is vital.

As instructor we should never assumethat they understand or they should no better. For example we assume that everyone knows how to leave a message for a student. Not always true. Sometimes we need to help students understand the importance of soft skill and professionalism.
Nanette,
