Goal of educating students
What is the goal of educating students?
The goal for me is to see that every one I encounter is to become succesful at what they are at school for. I tell my students that they have to put their percentage in as much as I do in order for US as student and teacher to reach 100%

Yes, it's a partnership, and as you say, both parties have to be willing to work hard to make everything come together in the way everyone wants.

To me, the goal of ecucating students it to teach them to analyze,retain, and successfully apply information, knowledge and skills learned in my classroom or clinic, in order to become competent and skillfull professionals. If I accomplish this goal, I feel I've succeeded as a teacher.

the goal is to have them be able to learn the information and to be able to apply it on the job, and also be able past on what they have learn.

I believe that if my students can correctly answer questions from the physician, the patient or me...... I've done my job.
If the student can perform all skills competently & completely and "pretend" that they are working on someone they love (such as their mom or their best friend), I know that they will treat them respect and kindness..... I've done my job.

Answering questions is a good guage of student learning. Critical thinking, especially in medicine is a valuable skill to be cultivated anad questioning is one way to develop that. Ultimately, students have to think for themselves in the work setting, so what you're doing sounds good.

Sharing information, knowledge, habits in a context a student can absorb, and use the information to assist them on a daily basis. This also includes any experience along the way that assist in the educational process.
Getting them the applicable information they need to accomplish their goals. If they don't look good, I don't look good.

Most (but not all) courses lead to or support the graduate in working in a specific job setting. When we can prepare students to be job ready, the employer, graduate, and institution all benefit by having a successful learning experience completed.

Many times our classes are in preparation for work in a specific job setting. I feel like classes we provide will directly or indirectly pertain to that ultimate job setting, so insuring we give the requisite skills, knowledge, and professional readiness for success at work can be realized.

The goal of educating students is to get them familiar with what is to come in a career settings by presenting them with the materials, information and situations they will need to overcome. Also, maintaining their enthusiasm and motivation accounts for a lot of how they will perform in their future endeavors.

I think enthusiasm and motivation are great attributes to cultivate. Besides the technical aspects of a job, employers will be very satisfied with employees who demonstrate these qualities consistently while on the job.

My goal in teaching is to give my students a skill that they can be proud of, excel in their field, and make a good living. Our biggest reward is them coming back to visit and tell of their success.

Yes, successful, satisfied graduates are a very rewarding event. For me, the tenets I want to provide are the career skills, knowledge, and professional behavior required for successful employment. If I can impart the skill of critical thinking too, that will help them in both in their personal lives and their work setting.

I teach baking and patisserie. The goal of educating my students is for them to understand ingredient function, classical French patisserie technique, flavor and texture profiles, and basic decorating. The goal is for them to be as fluent and efficient as possible once in the field.

I think a good way to assess student goal attainment is evaluation of their readiness to enter the work force. Ultimately, the employer will be the final dtermination as to the graduates achievement of goals. I think if we focus on assuring the course objectives and student learning objectives are met, we will have provided the requisite skills, knowledge, and professional behavior for successful employment.

The goal of educating student is not only to give them the training and skills set for the job they seek but also teach soft skills. These skills are not included in curriculum's but is a key component to being successful.
