I prompt my students to use the website designed for them to help them understand things better, "flextech", is a site where they can see video tutorials of the subject matter. They can access this from anywhere at any time to get a little extra help understanding the how's and why's. As for my students i get great responses from the use of this site.

I also provide my students with additional course supplements that are used to enhance their class learning experience. In my experience, students do not deem the additional course supplements as "extra work", instead they are usually inspired to research additional learning tools that they share with their classmates.

I often find online training modules that are free of charge for the students to complete based on machienery and equipment that they will encounter in the workforce.

This is a great suggestion. For instructors that have larger classes, it would be a good idea to use the overhead camera (if available) to ensure that all students are receiving an equal vantage point.

Thank you for your post. Proper usage of integrated technology is a great way to adhere to multiple student learning styles (in this case the visual learner). It is also great to see that your students are using their breaks to access class content, with their mobile devices.

I use the web resources associated with the textbook, I have shown relevant videos from You Tube, and I assign students to find articles or topics associated with the class content using the Internet.
I utilyze powerpoint as well as overhead camera so the students can see the demos clearly as well as web pages associated with the content.
I produce power point presentations for each segment so that the students can visually see what we have discussed. I find that my students research some of the things we have discussed on breaks with their cell phones and add to the discussions.

I also use a similar approach, when introducing a research-based assignment. Sometimes the word "research" can scare students, however when they see a demonstration of how to conduct research, it tends to calm their perceived fears.

I often use a webcam to zoom in on the parts I am explaining, or the exact measurement I am performing, to enhance the students view, or their understanding of exactly how they should be handling the tools or performing the task.
Recently in my class I provided a list of new presentation systems that are available for use. I provided an example of a Prezi presentation and the class loved it. It gave them another way to present material in an innovative way. This will provide another option then the typical powerpoint presentation.
For a library research assignment, I often bring up and project the "virtual" library on the screen for the class. I then walk them through the steps of a search.

I agree. It is also a great idea to review the publisher's supplemental materials, which are usually "web-based" and loaded with additional, interactive activities for the students.

The class can be greatly enhanced by integrated web-based simulation activities, online discussion and web-based practice quizzes.
I have used the power point to keep score and ask questions during a team trivia challenge to some fun into one of my lessons.
Unless your provided power points are much better than the ones that are provided with my book- I find them totally lacking. It is almost as if an outsider to the material just made some up so they could say they had them. I make all of my own so all the material is covered in a correct manner.
