The moment that you start the Program you need to know where is going every piece of knowledge, materials, support device, etc...and what is the thinking of your students...their dreams about your Program....get a better future...every day is a challange, a good opportunity to practice your experience in your field and leave in every student mind the masterpiece of your professionalism.
Hi Mariel,
Right you are with the approach you are using. This works to help them stay on target with dates and assignments. It also helps them to see the big picture in relation to the course and what is going to be studied. Students can get off track or become short sighted at times so they need to reminders along the way and good planning really helps with this.

Dr. Meers,
Keeping students organized and teaching them to plan can be difficult. However, making sure that my students keep up with the syllabus and a calendar that shows specifically when projects are due and when tests are going to be taken. It helps them with their time management and allows for me to follow up with them.
Hi Mariel,
What are some of the methods you use to help your students with their planning and organization?
Gary
I agree...It is also important that we model this and help our students to be planful and organized with their learnings.
Hi Arturo,
Good point about planning. In reality you are building something and that is the future of each student.
Gary
Planning is defenetly a technique, its like building something on step at a time and your blue print must be on target for better understanding.
PLanning is of course the key to a smoothly run class. It is a joy to have the opportunity to share all your knowledge with interested students, it is a very rewarding job, and when you see your students evolve over the duration of the course, great satisfaction.
Hi Ricardo,
Well said. We are very fortunate in that we get to share our knowledge and experience with others and get paid for it. So in spite of the stresses teaching is still a great way to earn a living.
