Just a simple comment...
I have never been in a "classroom" but I have been a part of helping students throught tutoring and homework. After going through this module regarding assessments, I have a much, much better view on how I can further help the students I tutor. Now I know how I can see if they actually understand and learn what I am helping them with. Just makes it easier for me to help them. I am really enjoying these modules. I'm sure glad I took them!!
Being in a classroom is incredibly intricate. You deal with so many personalities and learning abilities. Hopefully you will get into the classroom soon to experience the full array of the learning environment.
I agree each class is different due to the difference of ages, backgrounds and very inteeresting at the same time.
After years of training "on site" and hands on, I am looking forward to getting in a formal classroom with many different groups/ages of students. This will help hone my teaching abilities, to better the process for the student and myself.
HI Jeff - It is really exciting to finally be able to "teach"! It is also intimidating. Never tell your students that this is the first class that you have taught. Rely on what you have learned and also what you know/feel. Best wishes for success in your teaching career!!!Susan
I couldn't agree more! In each class I've taught over the years, I have found that each are unique, given the age, sex, and attitudinal variants. This encourages that I approach each class uniquely, which I believe takes a lot of soft skill and talent.
