Music
I am fascinated by the inclusion of music into the classroom. The information in the section on music was informative, but is missing a basic ingredient: what music has been used in the past that has the most positive impact on students. I don't want to "plow old ground" when there must be instructors out there who have successfully integrated music into their presentations and know what works and, more importantly, what does NOT work.
I think music in the classroom is great. Kind of hard to bring that into my teaching environment but im going to really try to figure out a way that it can be introduced.
Matthew,
that's great. It doesn't necessarily fit every subject/environment, but it's nice to use when we can.

I tend to agree that including music in the classroom is a tool that I would not have considered. As it applies to this discussion finding the right music could be challenging. Especially in career education where the classroom does include people of many different ages, backgrounds and tastes.
I have heard that playing Mozart as background music is helpful for students learning math.
I have used music in many ways to get the Ideas across. I have used every genre and if used at the right time can be very beneficial.
