How we learn
Describe how we learn and change.
Hi Stu. Could you elaborate more on your thought? It seems very interesting to me.
Well, we learn on how we are as a student, we do what we see, and we will have Q's, this is how we learn. :)
That is correct Stu. And we also learn by making mistakes. For example, the story of my life.... :-(
As frustrating as it is to learn from our mistakes, often they can be the best lessons. The key is to make sure we do learn from our mistakes by reflecting on those situations & thinking about how we would improve.

To affect all learners it might be best to use the Kolb assessment and move around the circle in teaching- concrete experience, reflection, abstract conceptualization and active experimentation...you get everyon's best style
I agree on the aspect of using our mistakes to our advantage in the classroom. I often share my stories as well as others to demonstrate that we can't always control all aspects when we are out using our tools of our trade. But being aware of possibilities through our teaching of "how things can go bad" helps the student better asses their own situation without failing at the task.
Jerry,
yes, I figure they will make plenty of their own mistakes, I might as well help them learn from some of mine.
