Understanding The Appropriate Course Content
Like many Elearning instructors; it is so important to understand the appropriate direction in facilitating course material to filter the information incoming and outgoing. Online student’s have the desire to understand the course layout to effectively understand the information given.

Great point, how do you ensure they get the course layout?

I think the course layout should be as simple as possible. For example I have seen some discussion board threads that are really hard to follow. The threads don't make sense as to the layout and the student has to hunt for checking to see if a student has responded to his/her post. Submitting assignments should be easy as well. Most importantly along with ease, the functionality of it needs to work. It is important to have a good tech support team in place that can keep things running, and doing what they are supposed to do.

I agree with you. I find that putting info in multiple places works well alos. We don't want the technology to be a barrier.

Discussion Board layout should be easy for students to follow and to find recent comments on their assignments.
