Learning objects

I am considering video tapes to support examples of psychiatric diagnoses and associated patient behaviors. I am concerned about the time element but the examples what I want the student to know and do. Help!

Would the videotapes be of psychiatrists counseling patients? OR Could you videotape students acting out what you want them to "perform?" Just wondering. Thanks!

I do show one video in my class that isn't myself speaking. The biggest thing I can see that helps is that I give plenty of time for the student to watch and respond. I also let them know ahead of time which week I will be posting the video so they know it is coming. Letting them watch at a time that is convenient for them has been key for me. Good luck!
