Promoting Individuality

I've found that cliques form small pockets of groupthink where in the stronger individual takes the role of the leader and the weaker in the groups suffer the fallout of groupthink. What are some ways to break up small pockets of groupthink and promote individuality?

Nathan,

One suggestion is to assign roles or various aspects of an issue to be researched more thoroughly by one person. That way, everybody has a specific item they can contribute. It also makes them more vested in a topic and less vulnerable to groupthink. Give it a try and let me know if it works!
