Instead of being the "motherly one" all the time, it's better to let the parties involved work things out when possible. Of course, if there is a threat or potential for violence, alert the appropriate people.

I appreciate that these concepts are overall very simple processes in terms of not having a ton of paperwork and 12 steps and check off points.  I have worked at too many toxic offices where these types of concerns were never addressed and it is shocking how easy the process should have been to understake but it was not.  Thank you for this course!

I really like the advice of determining whether something is even worth addressing, and to weigh the reward to the cost.

This course has helped me learn mew strategies and how I can implement them in my current and future work environments. I really enjoyed learning about the techniques under the section Manage Conflict Between Employees. As a team member it is very important to learn how to resolve problems with other team members without having a manager intervene.

I have always believed that any problem can be resolved if we do not waste our time on the problem, but seek a solution.  Dealing with peoples emotions is difficult because we most likely do not take the time to understand and or deal with personal feelings that may be creating a barrier that leads to the solution.

It is critical to be able to face and handle conflict, as it is a natural part of any work team.

Dealing with Difficult Interactions means interacting with others in a tactful and effective manner when faced with a sensitive or tense situation in order to preserve productive working relationships; the goal should always be to ensure professional and effective interactions.

It's important to be direct with co-workers so that you may understand each other's perpecive in order to work and communcate effectively.

When there is an issue, I will let the team correct the issue instead of me taking over and forcing my solution on everyone

Don't let things fester; keep moving forward!

This course has given me options on how to resolve different and difficult situations with employees and how to come to an amicable solution.

It is important to think about the cause of negative interactions.  Body language is also important when dealing with conflict.

understanding

Conflict is normally caused by misunderstanding. Getting to the root cause and finding solutions to these problems can help to make the workplace a more productive environment. Identifying conflict is important and focus should be given to the differences and underlying intentions when attempts are being made to to resolve conflict.

The course provided me with a different option of how to handle bad relationships in the workplace.

I will give it a try with my own difficult situation at work.

The insight this course gives regarding how important these interactions are to the employee as well as the culture is very helpful.

The coarse help me very much.

Thanks

I always knew it was important to identify different objectives and positions that can lead to conflict, but this course has helped me see how important it is to also lay out the emotions stirred up by conflict as well, and more importantly, strive to really understand everyone's emotions, not just your own.

Excellent reminders of techniques used to engage difficult interactions and situations. Engaging with peers, managers, and customers in a positive way after issues arise is also highly important!
