My goal
My goal is to spend less time in preparing presentations for the classes room. Is this a never ending part of this profession?

I would love to embrace that goal for myself as well and I do feel as if I spend less time when I get to teach the same class several times. My issue seems to be every time I get extremely comfortable teaching a particular class the curriculum and/or format suddenly changes tremendously through the adoption of a new book or a new course developer. I then oftentimes feel as if I have to start over which is very frustrating. I of course have material I can use again but I do end up feeling as if I largely have to start from scratch. When I find myself in this situation I do attempt to set specific amounts of time to create the new presentations though and I am pretty good at staying within the time limits I set.

The constant state of change that we live in can be very frustrating & challening for us. The key is, as you are doing, to continue to move forward & make the best of it.

We need to be one hundred % sure what we are teaching the students.If we are of a small bit we will not be able to stand in front of them and teach anything.
