Word of Mouth

As an admissions representative, our school uses all of the advertising and marketing tools listed in the module but we have found that in our area, word of mouth is becoming our main lead source. Students talk to their friends and relatives about us and often times, we see those friends and family come in interested in programs we offer and usually enroll themselves. We have also found that even those students who have met with us and for reasons decided not to enroll, have been so impressed by our programs and our staff, they still refer friends and relatives.

I agree that word of mouth is important. Always trying to portray our facility in a positive light is marketing in itself.

Word of mouth is extremely important , because people hear it from their friends. And they are the people they trust the most. So that information is taken as more truthfully.

Encouraging a prospective student to bring along friends and family members looking to further their career will also be helpful in spreading the word about the school.

I think that it is always important to remember that you are a representative of your school no matter where/what you are doing!

It seems this to be true in any business - referrals are the best sources of leads. Although, it is important to note that this can be a double-edged sword and word of mouth can spread negatively if students have a poor experience at the school and refer people away from the school.

I agree word of mouth is the best option. Referrals are a great source.
