What to do when you see a violation.
When I am out in the high schools, I occasionally encounter teachers or guidance counselors who have complaints about another school. I usually advise them to contact the OACCS and let them know what happened. Is this the best thing to do in those cases?
Wendy,
If they have a complaint about another career college, they can contact the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.

Thank you very much for this information. It is critical to present yourself as a professional in this industry at all times.
If you see a violation it is always better to let someone know. If you are not sure just ask your Human Resource department.
I totally agree that it is the responsibility of each of us to report violations to the appropriate department or personel, and when in doubt, contact HR.

If I do come upon a violation, I would for sure let my supervisor know than, however I am also going to report as well to Human Resource department.
If i see that happening at my own school i will let my boss know about the issue as well as contact HR and any other department that could be affected by it.
As a Director of recruitment, it is refreshing to see that representatives from "my" school are aware that they need to contact their direct supervisor immediately when this occurs. If your direct supervisor is not available, I encourage them to contact HR or their Compliance officer immediately. Thanks Team!
I think it is extremely important to let someone know. If I saw the sames things still going on after I had brought it up then I would take the matter to the next level until I was sure it would not happen again.
One of our responsibilities for being compliant is holding other accountable as well meaning reporting any non compliant actions to your boss or HR.
We must always report violations. Violations can either be reported to your supervisor or HR representative.
