I would introduce a series of career interest surveys and self-assessments and other similar instruments and have students discuss and report on the data and results to encourage further exploration in presentation style assessment. I can use career assessments, interest inventories, and personality tests to help students identify their strengths, skills, and preferences. For example, administering tools like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) or the Holland Code (RIASEC) to understand students' career interests.
I give my students the opportunity to explore and find what drives their interests. Then refine directions and create new focus.
Having students research careers and take career assessments is an important element in career education.
Takeaways included helping students find their interests and have personal growth. I plan to help others continue to investigate and work through their goals to become successful in their careers.
I was pleased to learn that I was on target for a lot of the suggestions that were made throughout this module.
