Joyce - I suggest you check with your internal resource for FERPA guidance and/or your institution's FERPA policy. I have typically seen sharing among departments but, only for certain information considered necessary to the "receiving" department.

I would say that one would need to check with the director of admissions or higher up in order of where they are located within the company or school they are employed by to determine this information correcty and accurately.
