Sorry, I don't know...
I really appreciate the reminder to offer solutions, rather than dead ends -- "sorry, I don't know" sounds powerless. I want to be known as Administrative support to the students. When I don't have an answer on the tip of my tounge, or in my mind, I often say - I'll research this and get back with the answer within 24 hours.

Great approach. I think most of us want to know all and answer all questions when asked; however, this is not always possible or wise. It is often better to take a little time, reaseach and provide the most accurate response to your student.
