Institutional Verification
Does your school do institutional verification selection? If so, why?

Yes, we do. If the student and/or parent information does not seem correct or misleading in any way we select them for verification. I had one student that kept changing their income on the FAFSA. I told the student due to the many corrections the school is selecting you for verification. It turned out that the student added income that was not needed.

CORTNI, I have always gone with the policy of only verifying students selected by CPS; However, on a case by case basis if a Financial Aid Advisor feels that the information provided by the student is in conflict you must resolve that conflict and it becomes neccessary for the institutional verification to take place.

No at this time we do not we are a small school and have a third party servicer, I believe that as we grow we will have institutional verification
