Consistence
I believe that consistence is the key. You have to let the student know that you are there and always asking how the are and if they need anything. That lets them know you care and your always following up with them and monitoring them at all times.
I agree with your point, but I also would lke to mention that you have to place some level/degree of responsibility on the student. The student should be empowered to let you know if they need anything at any point.

Each student needs to be held accountable for their choices. Our job is to help them make the right ones and to help them recover from poor ones.

I agree with this comment. It is important, as instructors, to set consistant policy and procedure in the class and hold the students accountable for meeting this standard. This way, all students feel as if they are being treated equally.
The consistence and the effective teachers teach classroom procedures by first
defining, stating, demonstrating, and modeling procedures
and allowing for classroom questions and understandings.
being consistent will ensure that you are thorough in matters of the class room and lab both
Making sure to establish a consistence with your teaching styles will make the student feel more at ease about taking your course. Making the transition from one subject to another knowing the outcome will be the same secures a students accountability for the class.
Consistency is important . Students will genuinely feel that we care if we are always consistent on helping them from the day they start to the day they graduate. I think it will be a an excellent adverstisement. Graduates students sharing their experieces from the school.
Very true, I agree. And to go even further to be consistent when following/enforcing the rules.
I strongly agree on this point as consistency sets a positive learning environment in which students feel motivated, on-track and engaged with the end result being better comprehension, retention and real world application of learned concepts.
