Answer:

Through this module, I’ve learned that student learning assessment is not just about measuring academic performance but also about understanding the depth and breadth of students' knowledge and skills. I’ve gained insights into various assessment methods, including formative and summative assessments, and the importance of aligning assessments with learning objectives. The module also emphasized the role of assessment in providing constructive feedback that can guide and improve the learning process.

Application:

I plan to apply this knowledge by designing assessments that are more closely aligned with my learning goals. I will incorporate a mix of formative assessments, such as quizzes and discussions, to monitor students’ progress and adjust my teaching strategies accordingly. These will allow me to identify areas where students may be struggling and provide timely feedback to support their development.

For summative assessments, I will focus on creating tasks that not only evaluate students’ knowledge but also their ability to apply what they have learned in real-world contexts. Additionally, I’ll use the feedback from these assessments to reflect on and improve my teaching practices, ensuring that my approach continuously evolves to meet the needs of my students.
